BBL HEROic uses BroadBand Light technology to improve the appearance of unwanted pigmentation, redness, and visible sun damage. At Juventud, your treatment begins with a personalized evaluation by Christina Rodriguez, ARNP, DCNP, a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner, to determine the right approach for your skin and goals.
Brighter-looking skin. Care tailored to you.
What It Treats
Who It’s For
Your visit begins with an evaluation and a discussion of your recommended plan, potential benefits, and risks. You’ll receive preparation instructions, including guidance on sun exposure and any skincare adjustments. Tell our team about all medications and supplements you take.
What to Expect
Temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity, or swelling can occur. Treated brown spots may darken before gradually fading or flaking away. Many patients return to everyday activities soon afterward, although visible skin changes may remain during recovery.
Follow your personalized aftercare instructions, use gentle skincare, and protect your skin from the sun with broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Allow darkened spots to shed naturally without picking or scrubbing. Our team will explain when to resume active skincare products and other activities.
Your skin will be cleansed, and you’ll wear protective eyewear. As the handpiece delivers light pulses, you may feel warmth or a brief snapping sensation. Built-in cooling helps support comfort. Appointment length depends on the treatment area and your plan.
Your recommended number of sessions and the spacing between them depend on your concerns, skin response, and goals. Christina will discuss whether a series and future maintenance treatments may be appropriate.
Is BBL HEROic a laser?
BBL HEROic uses BroadBand Light, a form of intense pulsed light technology, rather than a traditional laser. It delivers filtered light energy to target specific skin concerns.
Does treatment hurt?
You may feel warmth or a quick snapping sensation with each pulse. Cooling technology helps support comfort, but sensitivity varies by person and treatment area. Let your provider know how you’re feeling throughout your appointment.
How much downtime should I expect?
Downtime is generally minimal, but your skin may look red or feel sensitive afterward. Swelling and temporary darkening of treated spots can also occur. Your recovery depends on your treatment settings, the area treated, and your individual response.
When will I see results?
Changes develop gradually as your skin responds. Improvements in pigmentation and redness may become noticeable within the first few weeks. Christina will explain the expected timeline for your concerns.
Can BBL HEROic be combined with other treatments?
Depending on your needs, Christina may recommend BBL HEROic as part of a broader aesthetic plan. Any combination treatments and their timing will be personalized to your skin and goals.
Whether you’re concerned about sun spots, redness, or uneven tone, start with expert guidance. Christina will evaluate your skin, answer your questions, and help you understand your options.
